In August 2015 our family joined Wilfred and his crew on the Lemosho Route for 8 days. It was an experience that nobody ever will forget. Thanks to the wonderful company, the excellent food (every day something different and always fresh) and the good and good planning all of us reached the summit in good shape. Of course we were lucky that we had good weather conditions, but without the excellent guidance some of us have given up. Asante sana Wilfred and crew!

Tutaonana means: We will see each other again 😉
For sure we will see Wilfred Moshi in the near future.
In August 2015 we climbed the roof of Africa, the highest mountain Kilimanjaro in a very special way.
A family of six in total, from Delft, The Netherlands had fun organizing there whole eight –day trek along with Kili-treks. We took the longest way so we were sure that we had enough acclimated to reach the top. And we did.
We discovered ourselves when climbing through different landscapes. It was beautiful!
The team of Wilfred, 24 people in total took care about us. They did a fantastic job. We spent a lovely time together, where even was room to dance and sing.
At the end we all got a certificate as evidence that we reached the Uhuru peak.
Extra note: The day before we started our expedition we were invited at the finest restaurant in Moshi. The owners are the mother and Wilfred’s wife.
I really would recommend Wilfred’s company as the best in Moshi, Tanzania.
The Ash Cone is a great hike for those wanting to venture a bit off the beaten track. Viewing Mt Meru from the Ash Cone is definitely worth the hike. The trail is rather new so not very commonly taken. We had a wonderful trip to the Ash Cone and would not hesitate to recommend it to others. Kili Treks provided a good professional service, good food and good support also to the youngest members of the group, so we were in very good hands. All in all a great trip – and on top of that we were lucky with the weather.
Kili Treks is a company that stands out among the others. If not for the pedigree of Everest-climber Wilfred, then it might be the other skillful guides. We had a fantastic week with guides Godlove and Renatus, who were able to keep the pace steady while telling us about the weird vegetation on the mountain. The facilities were well taken care of. And they are very accommodating; if you want to change anything or think about other ways, Wilfred will do his best to make it happen.
Chef Manu is the best gourmet mountain chef EVER!! And Johnny’s hot tea first thing in the morning always hit the spot. My favourite foods were the veggie soups, garlic bread, pasta and sauce, chicken, fish stew, rice, mashed potatoes, breakfasts, lunches (salads, toasted sandwiches, French toast, cheeses, etc).
By choice, I typically do not eat fried foods for personal reasons. However, I understand that cooking options are limited on the mountain. That said, Manu’s French fries were yummy.
I was pleased to see that the porters were properly outfitted. Yes, I do feel they were adequately cared for; I was glad to see that they were also well fed. I interacted the most with Damas and Baba Deborah; they were always personable and willing to help us feel comfortable around camp.
I loved the personal service from start to finish. This experience was a case study in
customer/client service. From managing expectations to meeting and exceeding
them, I cannot imagine that the trip could have gone any better. The staff and crew
were exceptional, the food was beyond expectations, and the personal
I really don’t have any complaints. I would just say that you keep up the good work,
and strive to make every client feel this way—not just the ones with a personal
connection if that was the case—and Kili Treks will be very successful.
Our Kilimanjaro adventure was the most beautiful time I have ever spent with my friends. It was much more than mountain climbing. We all felt safe, well protected and looked after by our guide Wilfred. Wilfred himself and his entire team created a wonderful, unique atmosphere and their support and assistance made even the most difficult moments much easier. In the end even these most challenging moments will remain with us as fascinating memories.
I have reached 7 summits, worked with many teams and I can say with full confidence that if I were to climb Kilimanjaro ever again, I would definitely do it only with Wilfred and his Kili Treks.
I loved the whole experience. The scenery was wonderful and views were more varied than expected. Night skies spectacular.
Wilfred and Sandy were both really professional and knowledgeable. Our porters were well outfitted than others and did seem to be happy and said they enjoyed the trip with us
Both Wilfred and Sandy were excellent guides. We think porters were well cared for. Moses was an excellent cook and managed to carter for my vegetarian diet. There was always lots of food.
We were recommended by a friend to go through Kilimanjaroo. The guides and crew were well organized, flexible and always friendly. We were extremely pleased with everything and have nothing negative to say.
Wilfred and your team, I can’t thank you enough for the experience you helped to provide on this trip. So far it has been the trip of a lifetime. I appreciate your patience and kindness through the tough times, it made all the difference.
We would like to thank you and your team for all your hard work, organisation and help getting us up to the top. If it wasn’t for you, your jokes and your inspirational speeches we would still be sitting at Machame gate. You Rock Us! See you in Edinburgh.
The cooks were absolutely fantastic; both as far as quantity and quality were taken into consideration. They frequently were applauded for their job. I wish to stress one more time how wonderful all people who supported us in our climbing have been. Without care and help of my person guardian angel Godlove, I would have never made it. Thank you very much.
A company headed by such a great boss must be a great company. Thank you Wilfred
The info before trip has been adequate and accurate, as well as very helpful. All the element of organization has been perfectly prepared, including my joining the main group after climb.
Every single person of Kilimanjaroo is absolutely fantastic. They could not be more caring, supportive and well organized. The guides were very knowledgeable and provided precious information about the species, country, local customs and history.
The driving skills if the driver guides at the difficult terrain were phenomenal.
As for the safari – the only thing we would not recommend to include in the future programs is the visit to the Masai Village. It seems we all have found it unnatural and not truly reflecting Masai culture…..
Other than that – I would wholeheartedly recommend safari trip to everybody considering a trip to Tanzania
Everything was perfect, Wilfred, Thank you for everything I would not made it without you.
Supporting crews were absolutely great. They provided incredible comfort and feeling of safety. They were caring, polite, with great sense of humour and energy Food was perfect – soups, pasta, fruits, all was better than anywhere else we had chance to eat in Tanzania.
All together – both Kili Treks and Safaris trip were phenomenal experience; and this is mostly thanks to your fantastic people. What a unique team of kind, most supportive and knowledgeable people.
The service was very good. Porters and guides cared for us as they were very happy. Yes I will definitely recommend Kilimanjaroo to friends and families.
There is much more to climbing a mountain than just reaching the summit. Reaching the summit is important, but you must be safe, have fun, enjoy the journey, but most important, get a flavor of the culture, people, and country you are visiting. As a veteran of thirteen international expeditions, with some of the largest firms in the business, I can absolutely say that I have enjoyed my travels to Africa, and climbing with Wilfred, the most.
I have enjoyed it so much that I have returned four more times, via different routes, but always with the best in the business….. Wilfred Moshi…..the only Tanzanian to ever reach the summit of Everest!
My Kili-Trek adventure was one of the most exciting and amazing adventures that I got to share with some of my family. I look forward to doing is again one day with my son!
